Garage Book

Terms of use

Plain English. Last updated September 2026.

Garage Book is a place to keep maintenance records for your own vehicles. By making an account you agree to the few things below.

It’s a record, not a mechanic

The countdowns, intervals and “what’s due” tiles are worked out from numbers you enter. The “ask the manual” feature answers only from a manual you uploaded and shows you the page. None of it is professional advice, and you’re responsible for your vehicle, your safety and checking anything against your manual or a mechanic before you rely on it.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what people you add to your garage do in it. Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to, and don’t use the service to store anything illegal.

Plans and payment

The Free plan is free. Plus is billed monthly or yearly in Canadian dollars and can be cancelled any time from your account; it stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Prices can change with notice; a change never applies to a period you’ve already paid for.

Your data

It’s yours. You can export everything you’ve logged and you can delete your account, which deletes your data. See the privacy page for what we keep and why.

The service

We try hard to keep it running and backed up, but it’s a small, independent service and we can’t promise it will never be down or lose data — keep your own copy of anything you can’t afford to lose. We may close accounts that abuse the service. We’re not liable for losses arising from using it, beyond refunding what you paid for the current period.
